Fugitif Short Film Festival 2025 • Melifera Records

The Fugitif Short Film Festival is an international festival of competitive short films. This event, thanks to a high-level selection, responds to a desire to offer a quality artistic and cultural experience.

Since 2021, this event has been taking place at the renowned Cinema de l’Utopia, in the heart of Avignon, France.

This year, the screening will be inaugurated by a concert. Q&As between shortlisted directors and film students are also put in place to encourage exchange and participate in the cultural weaving of the audiovisual sector.

Theme 1: THE NIGHT

The theme The Night can be approached literally and/or metaphorically. It can be a detail or a main element of the film
Duration: from 2 to 25 minutes.
All styles and genres are accepted: live-action, animation, fiction, documentary, comedy, horror, etc.

Theme 2: LGBTQIA+

The theme is an opportunity to discover and highlight the great variety, abundance and exceptional creativity of LGBTQIA+ cinema.
Duration: from 2 to 25 minutes.

Theme 3: STUDENT FILMS

The STUDENT FILMS theme highlights the diversity and creativity of cinema students and reveals the talents of the future.
Duration: from 2 to 25 minutes.
All styles and genres are accepted.

Rules & Terms

Fees

Early-bird/November: 15€

Regular deadline fee: 20€

Late deadline/June: 25€

In the case of cancellation or disqualification for failure to comply with the imposed regulations, entry fees are non-refundable.

Duration

From 2 to 25 minutes.

Technical

In case of selection, you must be able to provide your film in the following technical conditions:

A Digital Cinema Package + ProRes (or H264)
Resolution: PAL and NTSC (or SECAM) from 720x400px to HD 1920x1080px
Dialogues: you must provide subtitles in French and/or English.
