2022 Edition
Screening has been moved to January 2023
The Fugitif Short Film Festival is an annual international competitive festival under the overarching theme of THE NIGHT.
This event aims to offer a high quality artistic and cultural experience in the exceptionally charming Cinéma de l’Utopia Palais des Papes (Avignon) in the heart of the south of France.
This year, the screening will be inaugurated by a concert in the cinema (AV performance) and accompanied with a buffet. Q&As between shortlisted directors and film students are also put in place to encourage exchange and participate in the cultural weaving of the audiovisual sector.

Registration
- The theme Night can be approached literally and/or metaphorically. It can be a detail or a main element of the film
- Duration: from 2 to 25 minutes.
- All styles and genres are accepted: live-action, animation, fiction, documentary, comedy, horror, etc.
- The Fugitif wishes to support creations on this subject. Therefore, we have created this category to offer reduced rates for films dealing with this theme.

- The Fugitif is making a special screening for the young audience.
- Duration: from 2 to 25 minutes.

Rules & Terms
Early-bird/January: 15€ (Theme LGBT+ : 11€)
Regular deadline fee: 20€ (Theme LGBT+ : 15€)
Late deadline/July: 25€ (Theme LGBT+ : 20€)
In the case of cancellation or disqualification for failure to comply with the imposed regulations, entry fees are non-refundable.
From 2 to 25 minutes.
In case of selection, you must be able to provide your film in the following technical conditions:
- A Digital Cinema Package + ProRes (or H264)
- Resolution: PAL and NTSC (or SECAM) from 720x400px to HD 1920x1080px
- Dialogues: you must provide subtitles in French and/or English.
